Hiya, I'm Megan!
 

I am an ambitious and proficient writer based in Sussex, who has recently completed an MA in Musical Theatre Writing at Goldsmiths University of London. I also have a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, which I completed in 2024.

I have a specialist skill set that I have been building up throughout the course of my education and outside of classes, which includes knowledge about: theatre criticism, musical theatre history and adaptation theory, costume design, stage management, scriptwriting, editing, story and character analysis, musical theatre libretto (book and lyric) writing, comedy writing and review writing. 
 

I have thirteen years of acting experience, which included being a member of StageCoach Performing Arts, Perform Academy and Chichester Festival Youth Theatre. I was a member the original Chichester Festival Youth Theatre cast of Running Wild at Cass Sculpture foundation in 2015. I also have a range of backstage experiences, working as stage crew on the Earlham Bus Incident’s production “Greedy Bustards”, and the costume designer on both UEA Pantomime Society’s productions of “Pirates of the Caribbean the pantomime” and “Merlin the pantomime”. Additionally I was the production designer of the UEA Drama and Musical Theatre Society's production of 'Pippin the Musical'.

If you couldn't already tell, I'm incredibly passionate about theatre.

I spend nearly all of my time writing (I do cosplay, dance classes and choir singing outside of this). I have written 4 sketch comedy scripts that were performed by The Earlham Bus Incident. I am currently working on a solo play and a musical, but I am always looking for new writing
opportunities and collaborators. 

I have extensive reviewing experience, having previously written for West End Best Friend, Matinee Mouse and Curtain Call Reviews.

I currently write for Adventures in Theatreland and Nerdy Up North, in addition to doing my own independent reviews through running this site.
